Kate Rinacke, M.Ed. is a college access and counseling professional with nearly a decade of experience guiding students and families through every stage of the college admissions journey—from building balanced college lists and writing compelling personal statements to navigating financial aid and preparing for life after high school. With a strong foundation in post-secondary planning, curriculum development, and strategic program design, Kate brings both expertise and heart to her work.

Kate began her career with the Missouri College Advising Corps, where she advised over 400 students and helped them secure millions in scholarship and financial aid awards. She later served as a College Counselor, Senior Seminar Instructor, and Director of College Counseling at YES Prep Public Schools in Houston. In these roles, Kate led schoolwide college access efforts, coached counseling teams, and delivered one-on-one advising to thousands of students on applications, essay writing, FAFSA/TASFA, scholarship searches, and the transition to college.

Throughout her career, Kate has written and implemented college readiness curriculum, facilitated professional development for counselors and educators, and built systems that support early awareness, application success, and post-secondary persistence. Her approach is rooted in equity, access, and helping students rise to meet their fullest potential.

Kate holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Communications and Psychology from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Her mission is simple: to make the college admissions process more clear, personal, and achievable for every student she serves.
